When Michele from Sweet Threads Clothing Co. came to us about a “Max & Ruby” party, we suggested bringing elements from the show itself instead of the images from the actual cartoon & characters. For those of you who know the show, Ruby loves to bake cupcakes and Max loves to follow her. He digs in the dirt and always is making a mess. Inspired by the show, she pulled together these fun cupcakes which were purchased from the grocery store, and topped off with a simple gummi-worm to give it that same feel from the cartoon. The bright colors will accent any store-bought items too. Consider using this approach when planning the next character party. It will allow your child to help be part of the creative process!
LOVE!!! This was actually fun and will def work for ANY character based party! My favorite was the “dirt cup” cupcakes!
